About 15 miles west of Glasgow, Montana pop 2,500., the village of Vandalia grew alongside the J.J.Hill railroad about 1900. Bill was intrigued by the contrasting architectural styles of these two historic structures the first time he saw them in 2003 and knew then he would illustrate them someday. Though neither have been used in their original capacity for years now and most of the little town has disappeared Bill believes they are worth a photo stop if ever you are in the area.
