Stillwater

“Stillwater”
Pen & Ink - 1995

Few river towns are as picturesque as is Stillwater, Minnesota. Established in 1843 and known as the “Birthplace of Minnesota” its sawmills cut up lumber floated down the St Croix River from dense forests to its north. This very popular tourist town is filled with beautifully preserved architecture and its many shops and restaurants are an attraction year round. Stillwater is located on the banks of the beautiful St Croix River, which forms a natural boundary between Minnesota and Wisconsin.

This (pen & ink) highly detailed illustration is a view of Stillwater from Wisconsin. Reproduced on mylar for an added dimension.
