Bill has closed on his house sale; all told he received nearly 40 calls of interest in the property. This past weekend he moved the homes contents up to St Paul, with him rode L.S. (Little is the first part of her name, the second part rhymes with bit). Bill’s St Paul roommate now contends that mischevious name fits her to a Tee. L.S. is a black, plump ball of fur, who immediately took over his 3 Bedroom town home. His 2 cats have now gone undercover. Even though she is missing one front leg (due to an accident while a kitten out in Montana) she loves to give chase to and tease the homes two considerably larger cats, Max and Annie. Both surely wish she’d not arrived on the scene.
While no longer in Red Wing on a regular basis, Bill has made several long-term friends. Two are across-lot retired folks Lee and Marlis, and Helen another new friend, also a retiree living just down the hill several houses. Last, but not least living down on the east edge of town near Memorial Park’s entrance is Dean and Jackie, and family (including their new pup Riley). He’ll miss his weekend evening walks to their homes.
Bill will also miss the evening walks up winding Stone Cutter Trail, which begins just at the end of the block he was living on. This mostly forgotten pathway ends at the top of Sorrin’s Bluff, which offers expanses of prairie and unsurpassed views of Red Wing.
