In the artist’s words “A Saint Paul Treasure”. This oil painting captures an early evening scene at the downtown institution which is on the national Register of Historic places. This time capsule from 1937 is on the corner of Seventh and St. Peter Streets. Mickey’s Diner is one of only four remaining diners of 2,000 (of several sizes and designs) created by Jerry O’Mahony Co. of Elizabeth, New Jersey from 1917-1941.
