Liffey Irish Pub Saint Paul, Minnesota Pen and Ink - 2010 This Irish-themed pub and restaurant is part of the West Seventh Street entertainment district on the western edge of downtown. The Liffey is a part of the Cara Irish Pub Family - it was pre-built in Ireland before being transported to Saint Paul to be reassembled where it opened in 2003. The Liffey is a part of the Holiday Inn complex located across from the XCEL Energy Center/RiverCentre complex. The name Liffey was chosen after the River Liffey in Dublin, Ireland. In 2005, The Terrace at The Liffey opened. This award-winning second-story patio offers tremendous views up to the Cathedral of Saint Paul to the north and south down to the Mississippi waterfront.
