Stillwater Bridge

Stillwater, Minnesota - Pen and Ink - 2008

On the National Register of Historic Places, this lift bridge, completed in 1931, picturesquely spans the St. Croix River between Minnesota and Wisconsin. The bridge consists of ten fixed steel trusses spanning 1,050 feet while the vertically lifting spans rise 140 feet. The design was the last of six built in Minnesota and Wisconsin early in the last century. Today, the Stillwater Bridge is one of three still in existence.
