Saint Paul, Minnesota - Pen and Ink - 2008

‘This grand structure, located in downtown Saint Paul on famed Rice Park, was completed in 1916 at a cost of 1.5 million dollars - a very large sum at the time. The completed Central Library and adjoining James J. Hill - Reference Library, projected confidence in the city’s future and a world-class image’. A milestone for the Library came in 1945, with the establishment of The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library. Today, The Friends is recognized as one of the best library support organizations in the nation. The Saint Paul public library system consists of Central Library, 12 branches and a bookmobile.
