Fort Peck Hotel
Fort Peck, Montana - Pen & Ink - 2002
On the high Plains of northeast Montana, this landmark building was erected in the 1930s during the construction of the nearby hydroelectric Fort Peck dam - at the time the world’s largest earthen dam project, which subsequently created Fort Peck lake - a massive body of water 382 square miles in size and 134 miles in length. The community of Fort Peck was created to serve the needs of the thousands of workers and their families and Fort Peck Hotel - to serve the many visitors and business people who came during the dam’s construction. It has since, served countless guests as a unique, seasonal, historic hotel for the region.
