Church of St. Louis I

Saint Paul, Minnesota - Pen and Ink - 1998

Located in the heart of downtown Saint Paul, Church of St. Louis is also fondly called ‘The Little French Church’. Completed in 1909, it “was the culmination of years of work, prayer and sacrifice on the part of the French-Canadian Catholics of Saint Paul”. It is believed the architect, Emmanuel Louis Masqueray, who also designed the Cathedral of Saint Paul, which was under construction simultaneously at the time, was particularly fond of this building he called his “little gem”.
