For a number of years Bill has been a mentor with Big Brothers Big sisters. The second boy that Bill met through this program he built a tree house for in the shape of the Saint Paul home he and his mother lived in. It was an enjoyable project which began with his November 2007 conception illustration he completed under the watchful eye of this young person. The construction began in late summer of 2008 on a part time basis. It was completed in late November. One friendly neighbor remarked wryly while Bill was putting his finishing touches on it; Better watch out the City might be by, it looks like it could be income property you are putting up!
In the summer of 2009 the young boy’s mother completed the project by painting it to match their house.
