Located just west side of downtown Saint Paul in the West Seventh entertainment and restaurant district the ‘Liffey’ opened in 2003, 651-556-1420.  It is part of the Cara Irish Pub Family and was built in Ireland before coming to Saint Paul to be reassembled.  As part of the Holiday Inn complex located across from the XCEL and RiverCentre complex, it is conveniently located several blocks from the Mississippi waterfront.   The name Liffey was chosen to celebrate its ties to Saint Paul’s famous river and the Liffey river which runs through Dublin, Ireland.
